"I would like to write a testimonial. I just finish the six week course called CRITICAL ALIGNMENT THERAPY. (CAT) After a year of back pain, from an injury, I finally got some relief. Within the first three classes I could feel that it was progress. During the year prior, I had tried many things to relive the pain and start to strengthen the back, but progress wasn't to be. I was at the chiropractor far to often and it was costing a lot of dollars. Which was good if I was him! But the few exercises he told me to do was not feeling like I was healing fast. The pain was always there. I my massage therapist suggested I enroll in CAT. I was feeling desperate. I am close to retirement and a very active person, I didn't want this back pain to get the idea we were buddies! Within a couple of classes i could feel a difference. Mind you I also practise at home every second day, I was determined to see results. By the end of the six weeks I am almost back to normal! The concept is simple, "proper alignment before strengthening". I can testify it is an excellent course. We still have to do the work to get the results, but the instruction is there at Breathe Hot Yoga locations. "Hi Guys, I just wanted to send a very big thank you to your team at Breathe, especially those who teach at Nolan Hill. I've been practicing yoga since 2005. I started during a lunch time class offered in my downtown employers board room. It transformed me then, even at its simplest roots. I've continued to practice in heated and non heated environments, and my life is so much better for it. In late 2014, after the birth of my third child, I vowed to make yoga a more routine practice. My 2016 goal was to try a new studio in the city of each month, committing to 3x per week. This was no easy goal, as my demands as a mother with three small kids and a busy family and friend circle can make fitting yoga into my life a challenge. But with my amazing husband supporting me, I've managed to (mostly) make this happen. I live in the NW, and once I experienced Nolan Hill / Breathe, I was a keeper. I've happily purchased a monthly-go pass and catch a class as much as I can. I can't imagine leaving Breathe, and thank my lucky stars it is only a ten minute drive away. Having 8pm classes are so helpful. The kids go down, and off I go. I was a teacher prior to entering "stay at home mom" status. I brought Yoga into my classes as much as I could. The students always responded to the poses and breathing techniques. It was from this experience that i knew one day, I would eventually become a yoga instructor. It will take some time, years even, but I really believe it will happen. Until then, thank you for being the studio that has allowed me to grow. This letter could go on for quite some time, so I will do my best to wrap things up. What I want to impress upon you, is that i've experienced many studios, and yours really is the best. The instructors are lovely, the facilities are top notch, and your website is very user friendly. I really love the extra benefit of the points program too. I don't have a favourite instructor, but i am quite smitten with Liane, Jill Thomas, Daniel(s), Anton, Chris, Rebecca, Ed, Kelsey....so many to chose from. Your team clearly believes and loves what they do, and it shows. Like so many people, I live in a rushed world. I am a perfectionist, I think too much, I can be too hard on myself, and my brain often struggles to turn off. But somehow, here I am - slowly unravelling my former A type status into a person who can take a deep breath and just be. Today, on my mat, working through one of Daniel's AMAZING core classes, I caught myself just moving, even giggling at times, thoroughly enjoying who I was and where I was at. "I just wanted to thank the lovely instructor(s) that taught the flow class at 8:30am on Sunday. I was a bit worried going into the class because it is my first class since I had my ACL reconstruction/meniscus repair. It has been a frustrating recovery. However, my mobility was incredible the Sunday evening after the class. Although I had a headache majority of the afternoon, it went away and resulted in the best day ever. It was the best birthday present I could have asked for! So thank you again for the class, the looks of encouragement and occasional laugh with me as I readjusted or fell over. "I just wanted to say that I bought your month intro pass and I am very pleased with Breathe. I was worried because it's a bit of a drive for me, but it's worth it! I finished my teacher training in September and I lost a little of my excitement about yoga. I have gone to other studios for convenience, but I find that I am excited about yoga again and I just wanted to say thank you for that! I love that I can choose from 3 classes/3 teachers at almost any time slot and I love the freedom that your teachers have to show/teach from there hearts. "Wow! What a great group of people that work at Breathe. I'm so impressed. I nearly collapsed in class today and they sprang into action. I was getting over the flu/dehydrated and too stubborn to miss a class. Kelly, who I'm sure is an angel, totally took care of me and the lovely receptionist (who's name I forget but remember it was a pretty name *Carolina*) totally took charge. "I really like it at Breathe. Everyone of the instructors is fantastic and I enjoy all of the classes. What I like the most is that I have some disabilities with injuries I have incurred and I have had a tonne of help from all of your instructors. They help me with postures and always say only to do what I can do. It's not a contest and it does not matter what you look like. They also offer me other ways to do a pose which is so important to me. This way I am never not doing anything just maybe doing the pose a little differently and I am never embarrassed. "Thank you for allowing me to be a client. I started to come to hot yoga in mid June and know that it helped me become a bit more calm during the storm in my life. I am 34 years old, mother of 2 young boys, and on July 18 was diagnosed with breast cancer. Coming to the sessions empowered me, relaxed me, and most of all helped me learn to breathe in a way that I never had. A few days before my bi lateral mastectomy surgery, after the last class of the night I bought one of your BREATHE necklaces. I saw it and knew what it was to be used for...

On August 11, 2011, I gave my husband of 10 years an envelope of instructions for when I woke up out of my surgery. A few of them were: give me a hug, tell me you love me, post on Facebook that I had just told my breast cancer to go f itself, and to place the BREATHE necklace around my neck and remind me to breathe. I haven't taken it off. Tonight is my first class back at hot yoga after on August 19 my surgeon told me that the cancer had not spread to my lymph nodes and gave me a clean bill of health.

"Ironically my greatest realization came to me after my challenge was over and I decided to take a week off. My children and husband made sacrifices for me to get all my classes in, so I felt it fair to give back to them by being home. "I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 13 years ago and since then have been trying to find a form of exercise that would provide health benefits but not deplete my energy reserves as much as exercising at the gym would. Yoga was my last resort, but it should have been my first choice. Since I started practicing at Breathe in April, my metabolism has improved, my energy levels have increased and my weight has gone down more than 20 pounds! Emotionally, I am healthier, happier and no longer have to rest for three hours after I exercise. In short, practicing at Breathe has helped improve my quality of life. The instructors always give modifications to poses that are difficult for me and they are always providing adjustments which ensure I don't aggravate my Fibromyalgia. "If you would have told me a couple of months ago that I would willingly go to yoga, especially hot yoga, and enjoy being there, I would have laughed at you. If you would have told me that I would benefit from it, I would have disagreed vehemently! To this day, I am not sure how my friend convinced me to try Breathe but am I ever glad that she did. Boy! My pre-conceived ideas were very wrong. Not only has hot yoga helped me with my sore neck and hip-flexor problems (which have pretty much disappeared) but I have also started to lose weight again (I had hit a plateau for about 6 months). I even overheard my husband telling someone 'since she's been going to yoga, she seems so much less stressed'. Now, I can't wait to go to yoga and am disappointed when I have to miss out. As I sit here and ponder on what's transpired in my life over the past six months since joining Breathe, I've come to the realization that my body feels and looks better health wise, my stress levels have lowered and to top it all off I've met some wonderful people.

Around February of this year, my wife suggested that I try hot yoga. Not knowing anything about yoga (a dairy product?), I looked into it further decided I would check out the Breathe Studio to see what it was all about. That's when I met Suzie for the first time...

She's the heart and soul of it all! I felt so comfortable opening up and talking to her about my health and life. After an amazing introduction and an instant nickname, "no-sweat-ski," I knew I had to give it a try. The studio was beautiful and the instruction was amazing, but the cold towels were the cherry on top - I was hooked!

Since that first cold winter evening, I've yet to look back. I guess that's why I purchased a yearly membership!

I would recommend Breathe to anyone. The staff are all genuine and professional; and with their "no ego policy" no one feels inadequate..... For that I say "Namaste".
