We are proud to offer following hot yoga classes in our eco-friendly state-of-the-art FIR (Far Infrared Radiant) heated candlelit studios located at both Avenida and McKenzie Towne. All classes are heated up to 100 degrees and 40% humidity.
Core is a vinyasa flow class with a focus on strengthening all areas of the core (the abdomen, back, buttocks, upper hamstrings and hip flexors). It will build and develop your core strength, tone your abdominals and improve your posture. ALL LEVELS.
This class is a sequence of approximately 40 postures (both standing and seated) and breathing exercises specifically designed to be practiced in the heat and to energize. It is also intended to open, strengthen and detoxify the entire body. ALL LEVELS.
Flow is an invigorating class that integrates breath with movement and builds strength, flexibility and core stability. Sequences include sun salutations, standing, balancing, seated and twisting postures and may even include introductions to arm balances and inversions. Flow is not a set series, allowing instructors the freedom to play with alignment and movement. ALL LEVELS.
Foundations will bring strength and focus to the body from head to toe. By removing the flow and focusing on longer static holds, emphasis is placed on the pose itself rather than linking movements. Beginners can use this time to build up to our flow classes, while more advanced students can work on precision and alignment. The focus will be on foundational postures, however the instructor will provide modifications for every experience level, giving you the chance to expand your practice if you so choose. Because this class is not a set sequence, you can expect to learn something new and different every time. ALL LEVELS - GREAT FOR BEGINNERS.
Baptiste Power Vinyasa Flow links powerful breath with dynamic, flowing movements. Often referred to as meditation in motion, Baptiste encompasses many different styles and teachings across the world and is the number one yoga practiced in the US. Power yoga is an ultimate experience for people who are ready to tap into both their physical and spiritual “fire”. The practice is a combination of different traditions of yoga that come together for a dynamic mix of sweat and spirit. It will tone your body and electrify your mind. This flow will torch calories, tone your body and relax your mind. ALL LEVELS - SOME EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED.
This class is designed to offer the balancing effects of yin (passive) yoga and yang (active) yoga. The first half is the yang, focusing on vinyasas and standing postures that will increase your strength, flexibility and balance. The second half is the yin, focusing on long, deep meditative stretches that allow your connective tissues and joints to open, increasing flexibility while creating a calm and centered mind. Because only half the class is flow (yang), it is a great class for Beginners. ALL LEVELS - GREAT FOR BEGINNERS.
Restorative yoga is a passive practice in which poses are held for several minutes at a time utilizing blocks, straps and balls (our non-heated classes also use bolsters, blankets and the studio walls). These props are used to minimize the amount of work required by our the muscles during poses. A restorative practice can rest your body, stretch your muscles, lower your heart rate and blood pressure, and calm your nervous system, moving you into a peaceful state of deep relaxation.
