Our registered programs are tailored to fit the needs of each group of individuals and are offered at our McKenzie Towne, Airdrie and Nolan Hill locations in our non-heated studios. Yoga 101New? Try this!

Have you always wanted to try this yoga thing but are too intimated to jump in with the general public? Totally understandable! We’ve all been there.

This 6-week registered program is specifically designed for you! It will offer you the chance to explore the basics of vinyasa yoga by going through postures and sequences suitable for the beginner (or those of you who want to get back to basics and revisit your form).

In this program, you will learn the basics of sun salutations and foundational standing and seated postures. These postures (asanas) will be introduced slowly and progressively to ensure you learn them safely and correctly in a setting where everyone is at the same level.

After the 6-weeks, you’ll be ready to bust it out with everyone else!

Critical Alignment Therapy (CAT) for Backs

Critical Alignment Therapy (CAT) was developed 30 years ago by Gert van Leeuwen, founder of the Critical Alignment Yoga Institute in Amsterdam.

It is a highly effective way of assessing and treating dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system by releasing and mobilizing the thoracic spine.

Aside from the many benefits of improved postural alignment, this system of yoga therapy is proven to effectively reduce chronic pain and repetitive strain injuries by utilizing specialized props, yoga related exercises, and breathing techniques.

Whether your pain is in your back, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, pelvis, hips or legs, the consistent practice of CAT will help you move and function with greater freedom and ease creating a happier, healthier self.

Meditation 101

Join us for this six-week program where we will explore the different methods of meditation. This will be an in-depth introduction where you will learn different approaches and forms.

Meditation has been proven to assist with stress reduction, depression, weight-management, clarity, creativity and sleep patterns!

All you need is to bring is your yoga clothes, water bottle, mat, towel and an open mind!! All levels will benefit.

Pre-Natal

Strengthen mind, body and spirit in preparation for labor and delivery with a class designed to help you deepen your experience and enjoyment during pregnancy. Classes include yoga postures to address and relieve the common discomforts of pregnancy; relaxation techniques and breathing exercises to ease fear and anxiety; abdominal and pelvic floor toning to enhance postnatal recovery. These classes are beneficial anytime during your pregnancy.

Parent & Baby

This unique class combines yoga and play to get back in shape while strengthening the bond between you and your infant. Experience flowing asanas, challenging postures and calming restorative time in a playful and safe environment for babies. Learn baby yoga exercises to strengthen growing muscles, aid in digestion, promote better sleeping patterns and help your infant grow towards their next stage of development. Class is for babies 6 weeks old to not yet walking. Dads are welcome too!

Mom & Baby Yoga Barre

Mom & Baby Yoga Barre is a fun variation to our traditional Yoga Barre class and is the perfect way to connect with your body and your baby! Yoga Barre combines the stretching, toning, strengthening and sculpting principles of yoga, pilates and dance, targeting every muscle in your body. Your baby may be incorporated into the class by use of your favourite baby carrier, so please bring one just in case. This program is open to babies 6 weeks and over and not yet walking. No previous Yoga Barre experience necessary.

Parent & Tot

**PLEASE NOTE: This class is for new walkers to 2 years old.**

Parent & Tot Yoga is fun and playful, but definitely still real yoga. Yoga helps young children retain their natural suppleness and flexibility while developing body awareness. Practicing with your mini yogi gives you both valuable bonding time while allowing them to get used to the dynamics of a group class. Yoga can help them learn to balance, to be aware of their bodies in space and even to calm themselves down.

It’s good for you too! There are all kinds of creative ways to work your core, improve your balance and get in a good stretch with a toddler climbing on you! You’ll even (hopefully) get a chance to relax into a sweet, cuddly savasana with your precious little yogi.

Caregivers welcome. Class is a one-on-one experience (1 parent to 1 child).

Kids 3-6, 6-9 & 5-8

A playful and fun-filled registered program tailored to the age group of the class. Each class explores a theme, builds strength, enhances their imagination, builds their self-esteem (as they become aware and gain control of their body and mind) and explores yoga through poses, breathing exercises, games and creative activities.

Kids 10-13 & 9-13

This registered program is specifically designed for pre-teens and new teens to build confidence, body awareness and breathing techniques to aid in relaxation, while strengthening the body.

Yoga Thrive for Cancer Survivors

Yoga Thrive is a research-based therapeutic yoga program designed specifically for cancer survivors both on and off treatment and in remission, and their support persons. This progressive program focuses on gentle postures, as well as breathing and relaxation techniques customized to each individual's abilities and particular challenges. Benefits include: improved strength and flexibiity, body awareness, increased energy and vitality, and improved overall quality of life.

Yin and Acupuncture

*Each student will receive a receipt after each session from a licensed Acupuncturist which is eligible for submission to group insurance.

Yin Yoga stimulates the systems of the body through slow gentle traction and compression. When blood flow has been stimulated it can more freely move throughout the body, enhancing the therapeutic power of Acupuncture.

Each session has been designed to assist a different system of the body. The classes are sequenced with a 45 minute Yin Yoga class in a small group setting, followed by a 20-30 minute resting period where Acupuncture needles will be applied. Students can expect to end each session feeling a strong sense of ease and balance, and once all 6 sessions have been complete you will have a stronger sense of overall vitality.

The benefits of integrating Yin Yoga with Acupuncture are:
• Detoxification
• Decreasing stress
• Increasing mobility in the ligaments, joints, connective tissues and vital organs
